Summary

SB461 seeks to resolve issues with the implementation of SB1, particularly the creation of the Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics at The Ohio State University. SB461 would direct Ohio State to given the Chase Center the status of an academic school until January 1, 2027, when the center would officially become a school and it's director the dean of that school.

Status

SB461 was introduced in the Senate on June 22, 2026. It has not yet been assigned to a committee.
