LGBTQIA+ Clergy Appreciation Luncheon
LGBTQIA+ clergy carry something remarkable: the call to serve, to preach, and to pastor often in the face of rejection, exclusion, and harm from the very institutions that shaped them. They deserve a space where they're simply honored for who they are and the sacred work they do.
That's exactly what LOVEboldly's LGBTQIA+ Clergy Appreciation Luncheon is all about.
On October 10, 2026, we'll gather at Stonewall Columbus to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ clergy of Ohio, their courage, their faithfulness, and the communities they've built and sustained.

*For the purposes of this event, "LGBTQIA+ Clergy and Ministry Directors" refers to anyone who identifies with the LGBTQIA+ community AND identifies with one of the statements below:

Is an ordained, rostered, fellowshipped, or licensed clergy person in their religious tradition, denomination, or other life stance.

Is not ordained, but is engaged in ministry (paid or unpaid) at least 50% of their overall time.

Key Note Speaker - The Rev. Dr. Rachel Wrenn
The Rev. Dr. Rachel Wrenn is the Interim Dean and Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Her research interests include the Psalms, biblical bodies and emotions, divine-human relationships, and Old Testament roots of the New Testament. Dr. Wrenn has published multiple articles on anger in the Psalms and in liturgies.
Dr. Wrenn is an ordained Lutheran (ELCA) pastor. A sought-after presenter, she often speaks at pastoral gatherings and lay church conferences. Dr. Wrenn has also written multiple articles on biblical commentary and preaching for WorkingPreacher.org. She is the co-host of the podcast First Reading, an Old Testament lectionary podcast for preachers and teachers of the Bible (https://firstreadingpodcast.com/).
