Devotion
When reading these quotes and processing what the ask is, the only thing any of our Trans family or friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. are asking for is acceptance. The life that they live has no effect on the way you or I live. If you ask me the lives of my Trans family and friends elevates the life that I live. They bring bravery, strength, creativity, and empowerment like no other human that I know. The journey to becoming who they are is not anything that I can ever compare to in all of the lives that I have lived. My hope is that speaking up and out and against will lead to people evolving and becoming more educated about the world around them that honestly has always been there.
This isn’t new, folks. We as humans created the stigmas that we are surrounded by.
God never failed me or turned His back on me, humans did. I cannot imagine what it feels like to not be recognized as the person that I was meant to be. The idea of gender and what that looks like is only what we as humans have made it to be.
This year I encourage you to not only learn about your Trans community but uplift and speak out on behalf of them. They need allies not to talk the talk but to walk the walk. They have waited long enough to have things that us cisgender humans take for granted every day.
Reflection
1. Today, September 27th, 2026, what can you do to support the people that I love?
2. What can you do to speak out against hate?
3. What can you do to educate the ignorance we are surrounded by?
Action
Today, I encourage you to pick up a book, literature, read online resources and post/share about your own experiences with your Trans family and friends. Show others that they are amazing people that are meant to enrich the lives that we live, not take away from them. Giving everyone human rights does not take away from you. If you or someone you love are Trans or nonbinary and you need community and support don’t give up hope, there are so many people out there that do support you and my hope is that by sharing more and raising our hands to show you we are safe you will finally have the support and acceptance you deserve. Raise your voice so that others know that they are safe with you and not alone.
Let’s make a change in this world and show that kindness and acceptance is something that we ALL deserve. ALL not some.
