Press Release - LOVEboldly Applauds Westerville for Banning Conversion "Therapy"

As an LGBTQIA+ nonprofit proudly based in Westerville, OH, LOVEboldly joins the local and state community in applauding and fully supporting the Westerville City Council's passage of an ordinance banning conversion "therapy" in Westerville.

Conversion "therapy" is a set of pseudoscientific and largely debunked interventions meant to "change" a person's sexual orientation from LGBTQIA+ to heterosexual. Doing far more harm than any good, conversion "therapy" operates from a position that LGBTQIA+ people are broken and sinners and need to change for their own good. In many cases, conversion "therapy" is closer to torture than anything considered therapeutic.

Westerville joins 12 other Ohio cities in banning conversion therapy, including Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Reynoldsburg.
